Vision & Values

"Achieving Together"

At Woady Yaloak Primary School, our school motto of ‘Achieving Together’ is evident each day in classrooms across our four sites. We believe in supporting the growth of the whole child, as demonstrated by our school values of Respect, Responsibility and Excellence. These values are referred to constantly throughout the day during teaching and learning activities.

Supporting these values are our whole school student behaviour matrix, which outlines the expected behaviours of our students when at school. Our positive behaviour statement, ‘At Woady Yaloak Primary School, we treat each other with respect, take responsibility for our learning and behaviour and strive for excellence in a safe and inclusive school’ forms the framework and expectation for our relationship as a school community.

Our History

Established in 1994, Woady Yaloak Primary School is the product of the community initiated amalgamation of four rural schools located at Scarsdale, Smythesdale, Snake Valley and Ross Creek (in an area approximately 20 km south west of Ballarat).

This draws together four historic goldfield schools. Woady Yaloak operates as a multi site school, offering a small school setting with the advantages which emanate from a large school environment. The school is committed to successfully unifying the four communities to develop a coherent sense of belonging.

At Woady we strive to
"Achieve Together."
