Welfare and Wellbeing

At Woady Yaloak Primary School, we value respect, take responsibility for our learning and behaviour, and strive for excellence within a safe and inclusive environment.

At Woady Yaloak, we:

    • Have a dedicated Assistant Principal for Student Welfare
    • Have a Mental Health and Wellbeing Coordinator who leads the delivery of our Tier 1 behaviour and wellbeing programs, as well as Tier 2 and Tier 3 interventions
    • Provide Tier 2 targeted wellbeing programs such as LEGO Club and Social Stencil
    • Utilise the Program for Students with Disabilities to support diverse learning needs
    • Provide Educational Support staff to assist in classrooms
    • Promote student voice through our Student Voice School Improvement Team
    • Monitor student wellbeing using the COMPASS platform
    • Implement key programs including Respectful Relationships, Open Parachute, and eSmart
    • Run the Woady Daily Check In to monitor and support student wellbeing each day
    • Dedicate one day each term to Wellbeing Wednesday, with a unique focus on student wellbeing and mental health
    • Empower students to actively share their ideas and perspectives
