Welcome to Week 6. Please take a moment to read about the great learning and activities taking place at the Scarsdale Campus.
From the Campus Head
Just over halfway through the term. It is absolutely flying. All our wonderful teachers and students have been working hard on assessments/tests for the semester one reports. We have been encouraging all students to try their best and we have seen plenty of that which is great to see. As I walk around the classrooms and yard space, I have seen plenty of happy faces enjoying being at school which shows how great our campus is. Thank you to all parents and community members for your ongoing support. This week is National Reconciliation Week. All classes have been learning and completing Indigenous activities to celebrate and understand their cultures. You will see some work taken home and displayed around our open space. We’re heading into the colder part of the year, ensure your children have warm clothes on. Also, if children are feeling unwell, we kindly ask that they stay home. Enjoy the last half of the term, and if you need anything please see your child’s teacher or come and see me.
KOORIE CLUB UPDATE
Term 2 Koorie Club saw us create some wonderful paintings to be displayed across our four campuses. With the guidance of Jo and Daen, students used what they could see in nature at the Ross Creek campus to create their paintings. Indigenous symbols were then added for the final touches. Students were also given the opportunity to paint some stamped salt-dough ornaments that they were then able to take home as a memento. A big thank you to Daen and Jo for their assistance with paintings, and Chloe for staying throughout the whole day. Keep an eye out for the artwork displays at your campus/es.

CASUAL CLOTHES DAY- THURSDAY 4th JUNE
On Thursday 4th June we will be holding our casual clothes day at the campus. This month’s casual clothes day fundraiser will be donated to Motor Neuron Disease (MND). On this day we ask all students to wear blue and bring in a gold coin donation.
Captains Chat
We had a plan at the start of the year to fix the nets from the old green ones and now we have done both of the nets, and they are now up and ready for use. We used our raised student leadership money. Our next goal is to raise funds for a portable netball ring and new backboard for the basketball ring.
